It used to be the Money Store headquarters, and now it's a state office building. Locals are divided on whether it is a masterpiece of architecture or an eyesore.

it looks like Mayan(Aztec?) architecture. I like it.

It is a ziggurat--based on a temple in ancient Mesopotamia.

when I looked it up in wikipedia, I was surprised to see that this building is mentioned in the entry, and has a name--Ziggurat by the River
