these bees are everywhere in st peters. to pollinate the faith, i suppose


things are looking up. this is my favorite picture so far.

i am at the little internet terminal in the lobby of the hotel in naples. it is a funky place--the walls are bright red and it is very modern. i like it. the woman who is taking down the breakfast stuff figured out that i really like the coffee, and she keeps bringing me little cups of it, which explains why i am writing so much today. bzzzzzzzzzz....

Vatican City is very beautiful, if extremely crowded. As for the bee, it's the crest of the family that the pope belonged to.

Absolutely lovely.... but where's the cup of coffee??LOL!!
Out of curiosity... and because I plan to be there this time next year... what time of day did you shoot the dome? The rays of light through the windows would definitely be worth seeing in person.~A

I am very jealous of your picture of the pieta, because neither picture I took (in 2000, when Italy was still on Lira, and in 2002 when the Euro was 1-1 with the dollar) came out at all. Have fun in Italy, and if you wander anywhere near Le Marche region (Assisi is nearby, as well as Pesaro, Urbino & Aqualagna) wave and say Ciao for me. Voglio ritornare al'Italia molto.
