Have you tried to do that transparent screen trick?

I've tried, but it takes more concentration and patience than I usually have.

there's a whole series of images where the desktop image is of the background and sized perfectly so as to be 'transparent.'

of course, i have no idea where to find any of those images, so i'm being next to worthless here.

which version os x are you running?

I've seen some of those--I tried it once, and it is a lot harder than it looks.

One of the old Pink Floyd album covers does something like this--I think it is Umma Gumma.

I'm running the version of os x that is the one prior to the one they just rolled out. I know it is an animal name, but I don't remember which one. I want to say "OS X Wildebeest", but only because I like the sound of it.

Interesting! The outer scene is monochrome while the inner scene is polychrome.

For some reason, I always assumed that you lived like a Hobbit in the rolling hills of the countryside. But if not in the countryside, are you still a Hobbit?
