Ok, I have to ask what you were doing in the Society Islands!

When I got married for the first time, we had our honeymoon in Tahiti. It was a pretty cool place.

I liked Napoli a lot, maybe because it was at the start of my first overseas trip -- in June of 2000, with my ex-husband and then-15-year-old daughter. The best day of my life was the day after we arrived in Rome and trained to Napoli. We spent the whole day at Vesuvius walking around and taking pictures that you had to wait for until they were developed. I've never loved tomb artifacts in museums, but what a difference seeing the spot they came from.

I like Napoli because it is gritty, and doesn't feel so touristy. Pompeii is really such an amazing place.

At the most touristy place in Napoli where we ate, we were next to the water and stray cats were swarming around the tables waiting for things to drop. It was great.
