54118--scarlet begonias

Up at dawn. The cat looks out the window.
We were both off and Malida had a dentist appointment, so we headed downtown early. I played Angry Birds while Malida got her teeth cleaned. After the appointment we went to the asian markets to shop. No single market has we need, so we go to three different ones. They're all in the same area, so it's no big deal. The last market we stopped at has a hot food area with dim sum, so we ate breakfast there. It was pretty good for a supermarket hot counter.

Being fortified, we proceeded directly to the nursery to pick up some plants and seeds and stuff. We have this great nursery near our house--Capital Nursery. It's a great place to just wander around.

Malida has 4 days off this weekend, and wanted something to do. We bought some tomatoes, some zucchini, a bunch of flower seeds to scatter about and some scarlet begonias. It's a good start.

The tomato section. We bought a Roma.
After we got home and got everything put away, I did the laundry and Malida cleaned the kitchen. I took a nap because I had a photoshoot in the evening and wanted to be refreshed. I usually take my naps on the sofa, with the tv going in the background. I put on an old episode of Mission Impossible, and fell right off to sleep.

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. :)
My photo assignment was to shoot some guys who are part of a pro wrestling organization here in Sacramento.

I was supposed to photograph them practicing. I thought it would be in a gym, but it was in some guy's backyard. They have a ring set up out there and that's where they practice. There's even a dog.

I only needed two pictures, but I ended up staying for the whole thing because it was interesting, and because they kept wanting to show me their moves. I took about 400 shots.
When I got home, Malida was watching thai soap operas again, so I started moving stuff around. We are having the carpets cleaned and I wanted to get as much stuff off them as I could.
I started reading a new book before bed--Fall of Giants by Ken Follett. I've never been able to finish any of his books, but I keep trying. Someone gave this to me to read on my thailand trip, but it's a huge book and I didn't feel like dragging it halfway across the world with me.
I got about 13 pages in and then it stopped making sense so I went to sleep.
