Fort Lauderdale, anyone?

Does anyone know a little something about Fort Lauderdale, Florida?

Some company called today and invited me attend a focus group thing there for a piece of medical equipment they are developing. It's all expenses paid, so it might be a good thing. I just don't have any clue about Fort Lauderdale, other than it's over there on the other side of the country.

king_duncan and I both grew up there, so we can answer any specific questions you might have.

Being natives, though, we tried to avoid the "touristy" things like the beach and such.
